| About the UraceM Philosophy |
Who are we? Just race fans. But race fans who are tired of the same ol' fantasy leagues that tie your hands. What do we mean? Consider the following: |
$$$ Some leagues are in the $50-$100 range. Stiff prices by our thinking. We wanted an attractive price so everyone could play. |
Limited competition. Why compete against 100's or even thousands of players? Sure they have huge payouts (they cost more too), but with that many players, winning is next to impossible. We only pit you against 24 players. Our leagues of 25 increase your chance of winning. Three payouts for overall and 9 weekly winners make 12 prizes for 25 players. Good odds huh? |
| #3 | We do Quarters! Why wait half a season or an entire season for a payout when we payout in a quarter of a season. Not only do we payout more often, but it gives you a chance to start over sooner should your season go down hill. |
| #4 | Pick ANY driver (car)!!!!!! This is the big one. We have no categories, no salary caps. You pick any driver for any race. Period! We do not charge to change a pick like some leagues. Look, we figure you know who does well at each track, so why tie your hands. Pick anyone you feel is best. |
| #5 | Points are NOT based on Winston Cup Points. Anybody knows who's going to be in the top five of the standings. What we do, is reward you for knowing who will pass the most cars during a race. That is the true racer. Ask any driver, and they'll tell you, "It's ten times harder to go from 30th to 10th than it is to go from 6th to 1st!" If you think you know who those drivers are, you'll have a distinct advantage. |
| #6 | You only pick two drivers each race. That's it. It is much easier to pick the top two than the top two AND the mediocre five or six! |
| #7 | If you miss the deadline to change your picks, then last weeks picks are default. Nothing's worse than forgetting and getting penalized for it. In fact, you could pick once and let them ride all quarter long. If you pick someone who does not make the race, you'll only receive a zero for them. Considering that you can make picks that will get you negative points (and we all will) zero is not a bad thing. |
| #8 | You pick CARS and not drivers. Although this may seem unimportant, it might actually save you from anguish. If your car's driver qualifies for a race, and then gets injured...or perhaps silly season hits your driver, you will still get the points generated by the replacement driver. |
